Navigation Features
GeoTreks features a navigation bar to help you and your students move quickly through the chapter material. All material within a chapter is directly connected through the navigation bar. You move by simply clicking on the section where you want to go.
Chapter home pages, unit fact and map pages, chapter web links and maps can be accessed directly by typing the relevant keyword at the go.hrw.com entry page.

Plug-In Requirements
The interactive features of GeoTreks are enabled by plug-ins. A Macromedia Shockwave player is needed to run the GeoMaps. Any activity using PDF files will need an Adobe Acrobat Reader.
If you find the activities aren't working, check to see if you have the correct software on your computer. If you do not, you can download a free version of the software at the Adobe and Macromedia web sites.
Browser Requirements
To get the most out of GeoTreks, HRW recommends that you use a current version of the two most common Web browsers: either Internet Explorer 4.5 or above, or Netscape Navigator 4.72 or above. Click on the above hotlinks to download free browsers.
