Types of Tiles
Unit Tiles
Unit tiles are small squares. A yellow (positive) unit tile represents +1, and
a red (negative) unit tile represents -1.
x-Tiles
x-tiles are non-square rectangles. A yellow (positive) x-tile represents x,
and a red (negative) x-tile represents -x.
x2 Tiles
x2-tiles are large squares. A yellow (positive) x2-tile represents x2, and a
red (negative) x2-tile represents -x2.
NOTE: Although you can model expressions with x2 tiles, you cannot solve such
equations with this tool.
