Comparing Fractions, Decimals, and Percents

To compare numbers, model them on different grids. The greater the filled area, the greater the number.

For example, to compare

:

• Fill 7 sections of a twelfths grid.
• Fill 11 sections of an eighteenths grid next to the twelfths grid.
