Variables
These keys assign a value to a variable.
For example, to set the value of x to 5:
- Press the x= key.
- Press 5, then press Enter.
The value of x is now 5. To check this, press the x key, then Enter.
Use these keys to enter variables.
For example, to evaluate 2y + 3 when y = 4:
- Press the y= key, then 4, then Enter.
- Press 2, then the y key, then + 3. The calculator displays "2y
+ 3".
- Press Enter.
The result is 11, because 2(4) + 3 = 11.
