Exponents and Roots

Finds the square root of a number. Uses parentheses (see Functions with Parentheses).

Finds the cube root of a number. Uses parentheses (see Functions with Parentheses).

Finds the square of a number.

Finds the cube of a number.

Raises a number to a power.
For example, to evaluate 2⁵:

• Press 2, then the ^ key.
• Press 5, then Enter.

Use the EE key to enter numbers in scientific notation.

• Press 3.
• Press the EE key, then 17.
• Press Enter.
