Intersection Tab

Use the Intersection tab to determine the point(s) of intersection of two functions.

Finding Intersection Points

To find intersection points, select two equations or inequalities by clicking the box in front of each. Then click Find Intersection Point(s).

If the selected equations/inequalities have visible intersections, the coordinates of their intersection points appear.

If there are points of intersection that are not visible in the graphing window, click Zoom Out to get a better view, or go to the Settings tab and change the scale along one or both axes.

Note: Points within the shaded region of the graph of an inequality are not included in the points of intersection. Only points on the boundary are considered.
