Search the following Web sites to find information about calendars of different cultures. Select one of these calendars to study: Chinese, Hebrew, Muslim, or Hindu. Then use the Web sites to find information that explains (a) how your calendar calculates a month, (b) how this period compares with one month on the Christian (or western, or Gregorian) calendar, and (c) why your selected calendar begins the year as it does. Prepare a report describing your findings. |
