Creating a clear,
simple layout for your presentation is as important as writing clear text.
Keep it clean. Use a clear and uncluttered design. The simpler
your layout is, the easier it will be for your audience to understand.
Attract attention. Use color, highlighting, and text size to make
important material catch the viewer's eye.
Be consistent. Make sure important items such as titles and footers
use the same fonts and appear in the same places throughout your presentation.
Build relationships. Use labels, captions, and positioning to make
it clear to your audience which graphics go with what text.
Go wide. Design your screen from side to side rather than top to
bottom. Computer screens are shorter and wider than most printed pages,
so wide images usually work better than tall ones do.
